GIS Analysis of NYC Environmental Justice

In a geographic information systems course at Creighton University, I completed a final project exploring energy justice in New York City. Spatial analysis revealed patterns of energy access and environmental burdens. Topics discussed include energy burdens, the energy transition, peaker plants, a case study of the Brooklyn Borough, among others.

Policy Brief on SDG 12.3

In the elective course "International Economic Development" at Creighton University, my final research paper examined the United Nation's Sustainable Development Goal 12.3, which is to reduce global food waste. My paper weighed various approaches to reducing food loss close to the farm and food waste close to the fork. After discussing potential action items across multiple countries, my brief landed on reducing food loss by making cold chain improvements.
